Grooming is already wellness
Nearly two thirds of the grooming market is now spa, skin, and coat treatment, not basic bath and trim. Your clients have already made this shift. Most salons have not repriced for it.
You already see the itching, the shedding, the anxious dogs, the dry paws. Era Animal Wellness gives you the training, the language, and the systems to turn what you already notice into a paid wellness service your clients actually want.
Groomers are usually the first to notice when something is off, and clients tell you things in the salon before they tell anyone else. Right now that expertise is given away for free, folded into the price of a haircut.
Expert level value, delivered at grooming prices.
Pet parents are spending more on prevention and wellness than ever. But there is a gap between what owners notice at home, what you see on the table, and what makes it into a veterinary appointment.
Nearly two thirds of the grooming market is now spa, skin, and coat treatment, not basic bath and trim. Your clients have already made this shift. Most salons have not repriced for it.
More than half of US pet owners report skipping or declining needed veterinary care in the past year. That does not mean groomers replace vets. It means the everyday wellness conversation has nowhere to live.
Over 40 percent of pet spending now goes to services like healthcare, grooming, and wellness, the most resilient category in the industry. You are standing directly in front of it.
A structured, instrument based assessment, not a groomer's opinion dressed up. Every certified practitioner uses the same Dog Dosha Quiz, the same five assessment categories, and the same scoring logic, so two groomers in two different cities reach the same conclusion about the same dog. That is what makes it a credential instead of a workshop.
For the pet parent, all of that turns into something simple and friendly: every dog has a type.
Fine or dry coat, rough paws, nervous energy. Needs nourishing, calming, grounding care.
Warm skin, pinks up and itches in summer, reactive. Needs cooling, soothing care.
Thick or oily coat, heavy shedding, folds and buildup. Needs a reset and steady maintenance.
The quiz is scope safe by design. It observes and educates. It never diagnoses or replaces veterinary care.
Most salons begin with education and simple forms, then build into consultations as confidence grows. Every level is built and ready for you.
Done for you captions, reel scripts, client emails, front desk flyers, and aftercare cards. A new themed campaign every month so you always have a reason to educate and sell.
Skin and coat, seasonal, nervous dog, senior comfort, and shedding intakes. A structured way to notice patterns and hand the client something real on the way out.
Spa ritual, take home product, aftercare card, and an education piece, packaged into themed offers your front desk can actually explain in one sentence.
A short, personalized session priced at $19 to $39. Wellness support and education, never veterinary diagnosis or treatment.
The full 6 week Era Animal Wellness Certification. The framework, the quiz, the consultation sequence, and the business system behind all of it.
This is not about adding more full grooms to a book that is already full. It is about what each dog on your table is worth when a wellness consult and a matched ritual kit sit on top of the groom.
"Because we completed your dog's wellness consultation today, we matched them with their ritual type. Normally $49, but with today's consultation you can add it for $29."
Before a single new client walks through the door. Run the same math across a week of dogs you are already grooming.
in added monthly revenue, with a 6.4 percent lift in profitability.
Happi Pup Spa in Salt Lake City, Kim's own salon and formerly Sydnee's Pet Grooming, ran this during a relaxed partial rollout in June, before any dedicated ramp up.
This is early data from a single founding location, not an average across many salons and not a projection of what your salon will earn. We will not pretend otherwise.
"I have been in the room. I know what the books leave out."
I co-founded Sydnee's Pet Grooming, which grew to 24 locations, and have owned salons since I was 23. I built Era Animal Wellness because our industry is ready for more than another add on.

No, and the training is built specifically to keep you out of that territory. Week 1 covers scope of practice in detail: where wellness observation ends and veterinary care begins. Certified practitioners observe, educate, and refer. They do not diagnose, treat, or prescribe. The boundary is not a disclaimer we bolted on at the end, it is structural to the method.
No. It starts with a one on one tech audit where we map how your salon runs today and what you are locked into. Then we build around it, so your booking, records, payments, follow up, and reviews finally talk to each other instead of being a discombobulated hot mess. The goal is a live, working system by the time your credential is issued.
No. Week 4 exists specifically to prove the consultation carries full value with no product attached. Product recommendations are an optional third level, offered only when they genuinely help the dog. If you never sell a single item, the certification still works.
Every practitioner uses the same 14 question Dog Dosha Quiz across five assessment categories, with the same scoring logic. To be certified you submit a complete documented case: quiz administered, scores, confirmed pattern, notes, recommendation, and follow up plan. That case is reviewed before your credential is issued.
The program assumes you are an expert on dogs and a beginner at structured consultation. You will run graded practice consults during the cohort with direct feedback before you ever charge a client for one.
