About Era Animal Wellness

Groomers can be more than just the haircut.

Era Animal Wellness was built to give groomers a bigger, better paid role in the wellness conversation they are already part of, through education and observation, without ever diagnosing or replacing veterinary care. Not a trend. Not a replacement for the vet. A more intentional way to bring wellness, structure, and growth into the grooming space.

Why We Built This

Groomers see it first.

"We notice the anxious dogs, the itchy dogs, the dogs who are suddenly shedding more or slowing down. Clients tell us things in the salon before they tell anyone else."

The pet industry is growing fast, and pet parents are spending more and expecting more. But there is still a gap between what owners notice at home, what groomers see on the table, and what actually makes it into a veterinary appointment. More than half of US pet owners report skipping or declining needed veterinary care in the past year.

That does not mean groomers should replace veterinary care. We should not, and we will not. It means there is a real need for more education, more observation, and more everyday wellness conversation, done in a way that is responsible and scope safe.

So we built something that gives groomers a bigger role in wellness without pretending to be vets, and that helps them run a more organized, more elevated, more profitable business at the same time. Because this industry needs more than another random add on. It needs systems, education, and better client communication, all in one connected experience.

The People Behind It

Built by people who have run the salon and built the systems.

Kim Srisark, MS

Founder and Practitioner

Kim has spent 24 years working hands on with dogs and their people, and has owned salons since she was 23. She co-founded Sydnee's Pet Grooming, which grew to 24 locations, so she knows both the table and the business behind it.

After years of listening to owners and studying Ayurveda, integrative wellness, and animal naturopathy, she created the Era Animal Wellness Method and the Dog Dosha Quiz, the framework that gives groomers a scope safe way into the wellness conversation.

  • Co-founder of Sydnee's Pet Grooming, scaled to 24 locations
  • Salon owner since age 23, still hands on today
  • Studies in Ayurveda, integrative wellness, and animal naturopathy
  • Continuing education in integrative and functional nutrition

Andie Thueson

Partner, Systems and Technology

Andie builds the business architecture and booking systems that make the method actually run inside a salon. Her background spans business systems, brand architecture, and regulated finance, where structure, compliance, and trust are not optional.

She makes sure every certified practitioner leaves not just credentialed, but operational, with a website, booking, records, payments, and follow up all working together instead of scattered across a dozen tools.

  • Business systems and brand architecture
  • Former Series 9 and 10 licensed professional
  • Former registered principal supervising advisors
  • Co-hosts the founding cohort training
What We Believe

Five ideas the whole method is built on.

01

Groomers see wellness first

You are often the first to notice when something is off. That observation has real, everyday value, and it deserves a structure and a price.

02

Credentials must be instrument based

A real credential is built on a repeatable instrument, not a groomer's opinion. Same quiz, same scoring, same conclusion, salon to salon.

03

Education is the offering

The core value is education and observation. Products are optional, never the point, and the consultation stands on its own without them.

04

Scope safety is structural

Staying in scope is built into the method itself, not bolted on as a disclaimer. Observe, educate, and refer, never diagnose or treat.

05

Systems make it real

Good intentions do not scale. Forms, scripts, pricing, booking, and follow up are what turn a nice idea into a profitable, repeatable service.

Our Commitments

Three promises we do not bend on.

Scope Safe

Practitioners observe, educate, and refer. They never diagnose, treat, prescribe, or position themselves as a substitute for a veterinarian.

Standalone Consults

Every consultation carries full value with no product attached. If a practitioner never sells a single item, the service still works.

Systems Based

You leave with the forms, scripts, pricing, booking flow, and launch plan already built, not a binder of ideas to figure out alone.
